Message from the European Committee
Dear Members,
Spring has finally arrived, and many of our members have been looking forward to attending our Madrid Training Day. It is at one of these European events that EUMA, and the advantages for joining our association, really shine. To be part of a pan-European association where you can meet, network and share best practice and learn industry trends puts our members at the forefront of their profession. For our Members, we offer training that would normally be given to their managers, and the topic in Madrid of ‘Negotiating Skills’ is a skill that most Assistants need at some time or another.
After our Madrid Training Day is our exciting Annual Conference in London in October. This brings to life the topic that Assistants really are the new Managers of tomorrow and is appropriately called ‘Managing Today, Leading Tomorrow’. Have you booked your place yet?
So, for those of you who aren’t currently Members, or Members who have colleagues that might be interested in joining, why not take the time to find out more about EUMA? Attending one of our events is the first step – and the start of you taking control of your career.
We are proud to be part of EUMA, and you should be too. See you in Madrid, or London… if not before!
Best wishes
Maria, Anna, Ursula, Yvonne and Adam

European Development
EUMA European Development project is approved and ongoing. The main objective of this project is to gain more visibility and, therefore, we should take action on different levels. This way EUMA will create opportunities that will enhance its visibility.
In order to join EU projects EUMA must improve its communication channels. We can strengthen our European identity by using our own network.
We managed to create an effective and powerful team to support our Association. The team should have an encouraging role with the help of National Training & Education Officers (TEO).
With this teams effort, combination of knowledge and expertise will keep us abreast and help us to develop further. The objective is to devise the solutions which our members need to face this rapidly changing and competitive environment.
